{"id":4280,"date":"2020-01-13T07:21:45","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T11:21:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/?p=4280"},"modified":"2020-01-13T15:36:57","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T19:36:57","slug":"best-new-years-resolution-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/?p=4280","title":{"rendered":"Best New Year&#8217;s Resolution Ever- KEEP TRYING!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year I decided\u00a0 my New Year&#8217;s resolution would be a process instead of a goal.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of saying I was going to stop\/start something when the ball dropped on New Year&#8217;s Eve, my resolution this year is to <em>keep trying to reach my goal<\/em>s until I achieve them!<\/p>\n<p>Whether it is losing weight, exercising in the morning, writing a novel in my spare time, or just being more positive, it&#8217;s important that I not get discouraged by setbacks and keep persevering to get where I want to be.\u00a0 And this resolution to <em>keep trying<\/em> has been very liberating. Instead of a setback being a defeat,\u00a0 the setback is part of the process and I am moving toward my goal. Instead of feeling like a loser, I feel successful and more motivated to get after those goals!<\/p>\n<p>Another part of my resolution is that I&#8217;ll take stock of things in December and see how I&#8217;ve done.
