{"id":3524,"date":"2018-05-07T11:05:29","date_gmt":"2018-05-07T15:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/?p=3524"},"modified":"2018-05-07T11:05:29","modified_gmt":"2018-05-07T15:05:29","slug":"it-was-obvious","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/?p=3524","title":{"rendered":"It Was Obvious"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, I\u00a0was riding public transit to get around Boston like I usually do.\u00a0 I took the Orange Line to Back Bay to catch the bus to Boston University Medical Center.\u00a0 From there, I&#8217;d make the short walk to a meeting scheduled nearby.\u00a0 As I came out on the street from the subway,\u00a0I wondered which\u00a0line I needed to get into to catch the Boston Medical Center bus.<\/p>\n<p>It turned out to be\u00a0obvious. One didn&#8217;t need <em>Sherlockian\u00a0<\/em>powers of observation to identify which line was for the bus going to the\u00a0hospital.\u00a0 The queue to my left \u00a0looked like any random group of ten people\u00a0you could find in the city.\u00a0The queue to my right \u00a0was made up of people with\u00a0walkers crutches, and bandages.\u00a0\u00a0I got in the line on my right and took the bus to the hospital area.<\/p>\n<p>Later\u00a0in the week, I got on a bus in a different part of town for a another meeting.\u00a0 As I rode along,\u00a0 I realized my fellow riders were\u00a0college students and carrying all sorts of art supplies:\u00a0\u00a0Framed canvases, finished paintings, big portfolios for drawings etc&#8230; I hadn&#8217;t thought about it before boarding, but obviously this bus went right by the Massachusetts College of Art.<\/p>\n<p>This made me wonder\u00a0what it said about me. \u00a0Obviously, I&#8217;m healthy and not an artist. But what else?
