They were sitting at small caf\u00e9 like table at the end of a hallway in Stone\u2019s house. At the other end of the hall was a mirror. Roper looked warily at himself in the mirror because he was smart enough, or mad enough,\u00a0to consider that perhaps he was not the real, reflected body in the glass,\u00a0 but the reflection itself.<\/p>\n<p>There was a long silence. Roper cleared his throat.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sooner or later it will be about cheese.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Stone\u2019s eyes narrowed.\u00a0He was mildly surprised by the comment but simultaneously used to the arcane musings of Roper.<\/p>\n<p><em>There\u2019s no question the internet has\u00a0empowered the human intellect in all sorts of ways: \u00a0science, social justice,\u00a0etc\u2026 but the internet has also exponentially increased the amount of bullshit and stupidity in the world beyond measure!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Take the resurgence of this flat-earth foolishness. It is inevitable the internet\u00a0 will next give voice to people who think the moon is made of cheese.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Stone sipped his coffee. There was another long pause.
