Late again,\u00a0he keeps hoping it\u00a0will just appear so he can get going.\u00a0He should have left the house earlier.\u00a0 Day after day he misses the early bus, catches the next one, and gets to\u00a0work, a little late.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cropped-20161104_131212-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2502\" src=\"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cropped-20161104_131212-2-300x63.jpg\" alt=\"cropped-20161104_131212-2.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"63\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cropped-20161104_131212-2-300x63.jpg 300w, https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cropped-20161104_131212-2-768x161.jpg 768w, https:\/\/christopherdonahue.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/cropped-20161104_131212-2.jpg 940w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the\u00a0bus, with a\u00a0good natured smile, he takes a\u00a0questionnaires from\u00a0the\u00a0driver with no intention of ever\u00a0filling it\u00a0out. The bus is nearly empty and he takes a seat toward the back.\u00a0 An old, street person gets on and engages the driver in a loud\u00a0conversation about the questionnaire.\u00a0The quiet morning ride in finished.<\/p>\n<p>Several stops later, the bus is nearly full.\u00a0A smartly dressed woman gets on and\u00a0sits next to him.
