Later that morning, I decided to treat myself to\u00a0a simple pleasure to celebrate the end of the week— a whoopee-pie!\u00a0 The snack-shop in the court house sells\u00a0 delicious, freshly baked whoopee-pies so I\u00a0 stopped in and bought one. I felt strongly about it.<\/p>\n
I couldn’t wait to\u00a0 bite in immediately.\u00a0 Getting off the elevator I\u00a0walked down the long hallway, greedily unwrapping that delicious pie on the fly. The tasty treat\u00a0 was in my hand ready to be devoured .<\/p>\n I looked at the delicious whoopee\u00a0pie when again I noticed\u00a0a terrible\u00a0smell.\u00a0 I couldn’t take a bite with another foul\u00a0cloud\u00a0 enveloping me. I looked around and\u00a0saw another poor, homeless soul shuffling along\u00a0in the halls of justice.\u00a0\u00a0I stuffed the pie im my raincoat pocket and\u00a0went down a couple of floors to chow down.<\/p>\n This all got me to thinking: It had been a tough week, but my week was nothing compared to a week being homeless on the streets.<\/p>\n Maybe the next time I\u00a0have a tough week, I’ll give a homeless person one of those whoopee-pies.<\/p>\n I’m sure they could use a Whoopee-Pie Friday!<\/p>\n copyright 2015 Magnus Incognito<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Friday morning.
